Quite excited I am about my new poem. God helped me, and I hope it blesses you.

Beads of sweat on His brow
Give His face a look of care.
Nothing more than life itself now
But He gives it all to share.
Kindness is His only deed
Though men choose to hate.
Always He makes His plea
Father forgive them this day.
On the cross He holds
My sin and those of all.
He lacks strength and feels old,
Full of pain, but without gall.
Sorrow fills His mother’s heart,
Her face is lined with tears.
The disciples all but John depart
Because they are full of fear.
When He dies, His body is lain
In a fresh tomb given in love,
Guarded by soldiers of no name
And the Father above.
As God, He rose from the grave
Shaming death and sin.
With all the power He gave
Salvation was offered to men.
Whoever trust in Him, forgiveness finds;
Hope of heaven and strength on earth.
Peace in our hearts inside
We who believe experience new birth.
